Duxbury Computers is an operation of Canopus Research Inc., providing computer and networking services to homes and businesses in and around Duxbury, Massachusetts. Canopus Research Inc. also owns and operates The Duxbury Times, Duxbury Bookkeeping, and the Duxbury Classifieds.
Our home and home business customers are mostly located in Duxbury and the immediately surrounding communities (Plymouth, Kingston, Pembroke, and Marshfield, Massachusetts, though we do serve many home users outside this area, as well).
Our business clients are spread over a wider area of southeastern Massachusetts ranging from Boston and Cambridge, south to Cape Cod and the Islands, and west to Providence, Rhode Island. The majority of our business clients are running Microsoft Windows Server Active Directory domain networks based on Windows Server or Windows Small Business Server (SBS). We also provide extensive support for business users of QuickBooks, directly and through our Duxbury Bookkeeping operation.
Canopus Research Inc. primarily supports Windows-based home and office networks however our client base includes Apple Macintosh and Linux based client and server systems as well and networks as well.
We also do web site development, primarily using standard html, CSS, PHP, MySQL, and Javascript but we do work with Microsoft Visual Studio development as well, using C# and Visual BASIC.
